After tasting a wide range of the Burgundy 2022 en primeur campaign, from an extensive array of wineries, it seems that the region has fully bounced back after the challenges of 2021. With a wonderful early showing of colour from both red and whites, the consistency of the 2022 climate has also assured structure and substance and ultimately longevity in the wines.

After the devastation caused by frosts across the 2021 vintage, growers were delighted to see the return of normal yield levels for 2022. Despite the sometimes very hot and dry periods the region faced throughout the year, the abundance of quality early-drinking options, and of bottles to lay away, show this wasn’t a typical année solaire.
